The Final Countdown, Hong Kong, I will MISS you!

Friday, February 9th, 2007

As the seconds of the clock tick away, I am closer to coming home to stay…

Back on Wednesday night, Dennis & I were given a dinner by our colleagues from Hong Kong. We went to this lavish Shanghai Restaurant that served Shanghai food. Most of the food except the Chinese Tea were new to me, especially in the way they cook it. One of it, by the way, was a dish with Fat Pork and some sort of Mantau in a shape of a Shell. You can actually open up the shell, put some vege or sauce inside and eat it. Quite a nice dish. Lucky the company paid, dinner for 4 came to a price over HK 700 dollars!!!07022007002

I managed to take a photo with the name of the station where we stay just before the train arrived. The station is called, "Wan Chai". 08022007

If you miss the train at one end, and start walking to the other end of the doorway, before you could reach halfway the next train arrives! It is so very efficient! haha!

Yesterday morning, just after arriving at the office MTR at Sheung Wan, we saw a demonstration being held outside the Cosco Tower where our office was. They were protesting to re-build the old buildings in HK, so it won’t be totally extinct! 08022007001

After lunch however, while walking back, we stopped at this small shop, we saw this cute & fat Chow Chow. It was LITERALLY a door mat!!! He just sat at the door entrance, keeping the door open.08022007004

It was so cute, many who walked pass by would take a picture of it and pet it. Being a dog lover myself, how could I resist the temptation to pet it and quickly pulled out my camera phone for a pic with this cute dog!08022007002

Later that evening, after work, while walking back to take the bus, I managed to get a picture of this huge ship in the middle of the town!!!08022007005

Wondering why a big-ass ship is doing in the middle of Hong Kong?

And before sleep, almost everynight I would watch TVB, got hooked to one of the serials. In fact, I was lucky enough as tonight, Friday night is the final episode!!! haha! of course, after that I’d go online08022007006

and send a report back to office before calling it a night. Memories, sweet and tiring would be the taste left in my head and heart as we leave for our homeland tomorrow at 2.35pm.

What I can say is that I will most definitely miss this country, Hong Kong, a place with excellent weather (in winter only), and excellent food (non-halal) and also beautiful girls!!! Muahahaha!

But I look forward with utmost excitement as I meet the most Beautiful of them all as I arrive at the KL Sentral with her waiting to pick me up from there…Such a long period I have been away from home. Seeing couples and families in arms and laughter here in Hong Kong certainly makes me feel bloody jealous! Can’t wait to get home, into the arms of my darling, and to look forward to cleaning my house, in preparation for my favourite time of year, Chinese New Year!!!

Till then, this will be my final blog from Hong Kong. Mm Koi Sai!

I love you dear…

Imagine, right after returning from a tiring yet beautiful holiday trip to Hong Kong & Macau, and 2 days later you fly to Manila for work, and straight to Hong Kong AGAIN for work!!! I returned from my holiday on the 28th, and on the 31st I flew to Manila. Am now in Hong Kong, only returning to my homeland on the 10th, this coming Saturday. Hence the title of this blog, cause that’s exactly where it is…

The trip to Manila was a little torture. I was looking forward to it a lot, but in the end, my massive fatigue and a sore throat (that is still on-going now), really made me feel terrible. More so, the taxi driver in Manila kept breaking hard, nearly spilled wutever was inside me and deposit it into the taxi! Manila was like Jakarta, but better. The poverty there is great! The rich were filthy rich, the poor were very poor, especially at Mingthing Pangarap or known as Smokey Mountain, 02022007 we passed by and saw them living in the most dirty and horrendous conditions. Sad I felt but glad I live in Malaysia. Appreciate what you have now…

One of the main transport in Manila was this vehicleImg_3454

Not many of my company’s clients’ pictures come into my blog, but I have to put this one. If every one had a mindset, heart and determination like her, our world WILL have peace. I present to you Ma. Teresa V. Santos or fondly known as Teacher TessImg_3527.

Once you visit her centre and talk to her, you will know.

At night, we went to an ice-cream shop called "Cold Rock". You choose your flavour, then your fillings. they will then put your ice-cream onto a flat ice rock and add the fillings, then smash em up and campur,31012007001 like Rojak. Damn nice wei…

We had lunch at this place called "Burgo", like TGIF, American style. While waiting for lunch, there was a paper covering the table, and some crayons for us to draw…art…02022007003

Even my food was DAMN inviting!!! Cheese baked Macaroni with Beef slices…Damn CHEESY!!! *SLLLUUUUUUURPPPP*02022007006

Then, 3rd Feb, as 6 of my colleagues fly back home, Dennis & I flew further…for me, back to Hong Kong, with many familiar sights! 04022007001

On the first day of work, we went to this Korean restaurant for lunch, I had the hot sizzling bowl of Beef Rice! The sizzling dish in a shape of a bowl, very tasty and delicious!!! But HK 45 dollars. haha!05022007

And this evening, on the way back from work, I passed by this familiar sight in Mongkok, recognise it Dear? we stayed here jus over a week ago! hahaha, the Stanford hotel06022007003

Well, another 3 days to go…Persevere i have to…

After an experience of 2 countries, I do appreciate mine, and Home is definitely where the Heart is…
