T’was a week plus ago that I came back from Genting, a trip I would love to remember for the first part and forget for the second part. My initial aim was to relax and have a good time. I did achieve it…for the first half of the trip that is. It was great! We left early from KL Sentral, took an hours bus ride to the cable car station and an extremely exciting feeling overcame my sanity. I’ve always dreamt of spending a short holiday in Genting with a loved one, and now it comes true.
my dear, "to overcome it is to go through it with confidence and support"
As to what I just said, you passed with flying colours!!!
From singing our hearts and voices out at the Karaoke,
to dinner at Causeway Bay,
and a relaxing chat at Coffee Bean with the soft and subtle cooling wind breezing past our faces, ahhhhhhh…what could I ask for more…It was simply amazing! Thank you dear…*muacks*
Then comes part 2…
the very next morning we strolled down to the buffet for breakfast. It was like having breakfast in a army detention camp or something alike. The people were acting really UNCIVILISED! The way they rushed for the food, the way they fill up their plates with eggs, rice and toppings that can top any tower! Goodness gracious, it was hell! And so we ate, and proceeded to the Theme Park! yeah!!!! fun time
at last. From the spinner to the newly upgraded Go-Kart (but the car still runs damn slow liao) and my favourite, the Corkscrew! my dear, my left ear was left deaf after the roller coasting ride!!! hehehe… :p
Anyway, towards lunch I felt a little tired. Maybe it was the fact I got very little sleep the night before. Therefore we went back to the room and I took a nap. That was the end of the happy part. I awoke a few hours later with a fever. I had to trouble my dear to run down to get me some panadol and minyak kapak. i lied down most of the time after that. I then later started to have these movements withing the arena of my stomach! die lor i thought…thus i frequented the lavatory of my room extremely often, in the spaces of every half to one hour!!! Goodness, the amount of liquid that was drained out of me really surprised me! As the night came I still could not sleep, i lied down, could not move friggitly or as my body at that moment was kinda sensitive. at about 3am, then came the most disastrous part, a huge amount of liquid consisting of food and other substances, rushed up my throat like the Space Shot at Genting’s Theme Park, and out into the lavatory’s bowel equipment. God I felt so much better after…managed to get some sleep. Woke up late morning, still a bit off, visiting the lavatory again and we checked out after that. Went to consult the doctor and as expected, FOOD POISONING! even my dad was surprised. He said, "you iron stomach also can get food poisoning!"
From that day till today, I am almost fully recovered. Very careful with my intake of food now. hehehe. What I would like to convey is my very deep appreciation for my dear who took so good care for me during my hardship moment. Seriously dear, if you were not there, it would’ve been extremely difficult for me, especially with the fact that I am not at home but rather at a holiday resort.
Thank you for getting me the panadols,
Thank you for getting me bread,
Thank you for helping me rub the minyak cap kapak,
Thank you for the endless efforts in finding the doctor and the suitable food that I could only consume at that period,
Thank you for being alert every half to one hour when I would get up to go to the lavatory,
Thank you for putting a damp towel accross my forehead to reduce the heat,
Thank you for constantly watching over me and not getting enough sleep yourself,
Thank you for holding on to me when I was weak,
Thank you for the many times you had to go fetch some hot water outside,
Thank you for enduring the uncomfortable heat in the room as I could not have the fan blowing,
Thank you for always keeping the bedsheets covering me so that I wouldn’t get a chill,
Thank you for your endless encouragements and kisses to comfort me that everything will be fine,
Thank you for being there for me when I needed you most,
But most of all, Thank you for Loving me…
your caring touch gave me the encouragement to get up and get well,
your caring touch gave me assurance that there is someone who cares so much for me,
your caring touch makes me a better person day after day,
and most of all, your caring touch gives me continuous hope in my life…
I was mo
st certainly, Touched by an Angel…
Thus my trip DID end with me being all energised and happy! Yes, I fell sick and the feeling was real bad, but it was my angel, next to me, who cared for me that made me have no regrets of this trip. Most of the time we would like to forget the times we fall sick, but I choose to Remember this one special time that I fell sick, because of the simple reason that I felt special from the care given to me by someone more special thus making the entire trip…SPECIAL!!! :):):)
More to be joyful for are my Grandparents. They celebrated their Jade Anniversary, 55 years!!! My sincere hope and wish is to be able to celebrate the Diamond 60 years! I continuously pray and hope for that day. To achieve 55 years of spending a marriage together, going through thick & thin, joy & pain and a long life of bliss & blessed union. I am amazed and I respect this marvelous achievement!
